News Bulletin May 27, 2010 Mike Ramsey Joins Kelly Pipe Pipe specialist, Mike Ramsey, has joined Kelly Pipe's Chicago office and branch. Mike is a prominent steel pipe product manager with numerous contacts throughout the Midwest and Northeast. He brings 30 years tested experience in the pipe business to Kelly, the last 18 at Koppel Steel (TMK IPSCO) as Tubular Products Manager. Mike's concentration has been product sales to the energy sector, both OCTG and line pipe, as well as industrial piping products. CEO, Len Gross, indicates these will mesh ideally with Kelly's strengths in these product lines and markets. Mike will be in charge of sales activities for Kelly in the Upper Mid-Atlantic region, with special emphasis on serving accounts in the Marcellus Shale. Mike resides in Gibsonia, PA with his wife Nancy of 27 years. They have 2 sons; Pat is a junior at Penn State, and their eldest son, Ryan, resides in Tempe, AZ. May 27, 2010 Kelly Pipe Launches Las Vegas Branch Following the acquisition of Iron County Pipe's assets, Kelly Pipe opened its newest branch in Las Vegas, Nevada. Headed by Jereme Lowe, the branch will operate as a master distributor for pipe products throughout Nevada. With an emphasis on supplying local distributors with piping for infrastructure projects, Kelly's latest branch aims to boost the service levels of their customers throughout the region. Applying Jereme's extensive technical background in combination with Kelly's processing and sourcing capabilities, the branch will also focus on supplying fabricated products for the mounting geothermal and water distribution markets. John Wolfson, Kelly's VP Western Region, stated that Kelly is committed to growing business in this area as demonstrated by its intention to move to a sizeable new storage site. Branch operations at Kelly Las Vegas are supported by salesman Tim O'Roarke, previously with Superior Supply, and Assistant Manager Howard Mattix, Kelly's prior QA Manager at its main office in Santa Fe Springs, CA. Tamarac, Florida - February 19, 2010 Future Metals opens service center in Connecticut Future Metals LLC has announced the startup of its newest service center located at 22 North Plains Industrial Road, Wallingford, Connecticut. The new facility will be operational as of March 1, 2010. February 11, 2010Ex-lawmaker Charlie Wilson dies at 76 Charlie Wilson, the former congressman from Texas whose funding of Afghanistan's resistance to the Soviet Union was chronicled in the movie and book "Charlie Wilson's War," died February 10, 2010.
